Iran, The champion of Greco-roman wrestling in Olympic Games

With three days of Greco-Roman competition complete, Iran won three gold medals out of seven weight classes, while Russia claimed two golds, at the 2012 Olympics at ExCel Centre in London Tuesday.

The three Iranians who stood atop the podium at the 2012 Summer Games: Hamid Soryan at 55 kg/121 pounds, Omid Noroozi at 60 kg/132 lbs., and Ghasen Rezaei at 96 kg/211 lbs.

 

The two Russians with gold medals are Roman Vlasov at 74 kg/163 lbs., and, at 84 kg/185 lbs., Alan Khugaev.

 

Korea's Hyeon Woo Kim earned the gold medal at 66 kg/145 lbs., while Cuba's Mijain Lopez was crowned champion at 120 kg/264.5 lbs.
